Timballo del Gattopardo

Gattopardo timbale, otherwise called “Prince timbale”, or “pastizzu”, isn’t a simple timbale of macaroni in crust, but it is an harmony of flavors that also allows to enjoy the aroma of sugar and cinnamon that comes out open the envelope. It is a very rich first dish of Sicilian tradition, where every family invented a personal variant. It is a golden wrap, which encloses macaroni, mushrooms, peas, chicken meat, eggs, cheese, ham, all flavored with cinnamon.
