Sarde alla Beccafico

Beccafico Sardines, in sicilian dialect “sarde a beccaficu”, are a preparation of sardines typical of Sicilian gastronomy, The recipe consists of preparing the baked sardines with grated bread, chopped garlic, minced parsley, sultanas, pine nuts, salt, pepper and olive oil. Beccafico sardines is one of the many recipes invented by the servants of the Sicilian noble kitchens. In fact, this dish is the modification of a delicious dish in which the main ingredients were birds, “beccafichi”.
