Frutta Martorana

The Martorana fruit is a typical Sicilian sweet (whose origin was in Palermo). It is a famous sweet in the world because its preparation and packaging provide, in the shape and appearance, at the end of the process, the perfect imitation or reproduction of fruit and sometimes vegetables or fish. It is internally similar to marzipan but remarkably sweeter and tasty. The base of its recipe is exclusively almond flour and sugar.
